FORM FARBE FREIHEIT
Exhibition design for the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden.
I had the pleasure of designing the exhibition “FORM FARBE FREIHEIT” by the artist group 50 for the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden - a project that is particularly close to my heart in many respects.
The focus was on the wide range of artistic styles and approaches to producing art. The idea behind the design concept was to make this diversity visible. In addition to classic print media such as posters and a flyer, my focus was primarily on the exhibition signage - and here in particular on the typeface design.
I alienated an existing font and developed it further in order to accompany the space creatively and give the exhibition its own, unmistakable character. The play with form, structure and irregularity not only worked well visually, but was also incredibly fun.
This project was a nice mix of conceptual work, typographic experimentation and collaboration with a great house - and I am very grateful to have been a part of it.
